Hello - I was born and raised in Rhode Island but live in California now. I am trying to research my father's side of our family tree but I'm having some trouble. My grandfather was Eldege Bibeault, born in North Grosvernordale, CT in 1899, died in Woonsocket, RI. His father was Louis Bibeault, born in St. Aime PC Canada (by the way, what does "PC" stand for?). Louis' father was Isaie Bibeault and that is where I get stuck. Does anyone know if the spelling changed from Canada to the US? Any help out there would be appreciated. By the way, my mother is a Cartier and I've traced her side to France; her family is well documented. Thanks.
