Katherine M. Bibeau
NEW BERLIN — Miss Katherine M. "Katie" Bibeau, 86, died Monday afternoon, Dec. 14, 1998, at the Chase Nursing Home, New BERLIN.
Katherine was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Oneonta, the daughter of Victor and Ida (Aubrey) Bibeau.
She was employed by Harris Dry Cleaners for more than 30 years and never missed a day of work.
Katherine was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Lise Bibeau of New Berlin; six nieces, Mary Ann Gauthier of North Carolina, Carol Bibeau of Watertown, Janet Woodrow of Maryland, Loretta Stolpinski of Norwich, Paulette Gural of Guilford and Joan Corbett of Syracuse; two nephews, Daniel Bibeau of Rotterdam and Tom Clark of Oklahoma; and two dear friends, Lena Cobb and Al Harris.
Katherine was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Bibeau, and her sister, Iva Clark.
Funeral prayers will be said 9:15 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Longobucco, of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in Katherine's memory to the building fund for St. Mary's School.
Funeral arrangements are by Bookhout Funeral Homes, Oneonta and Otego.
