In trying to locate my g-grandfather's, William Biby, Bybee, etc. family I have come across a Mary A. Bibee in the 1850 Census for Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana. It appears that she would be a widow of 53 years old at that time. Record indicates be was born in Kentucky in 1796. Living in the household is James age 23, Nancy I. age 26, Alfred age 22, Susan age 18, Wm. age 17 (I think he may be the g-grandfather I have been looking for) and Mary age 12. Census info indicates all the children were born in Iowa, but I question that.
In the 1840 census for Harrison County there is an Albin Bybee family listed. There were 2 males 5 and under 10, 1 male 15 and under 20, 1 male 40 and under 50, + 1 female under 5, 1 female 5 and under 10, 1 female 10 and under 15, 1 female 30 and under 40 OR 40 and under 50.
And in the 1820 census there is an Allen Byba in Perry.
Are there any of you Bybee researchers out there that know any thing about these people? If so I would love to hear from you.
