JAMES L. "JIM" BIBY James L. "Jim" BIBY of Mulkeytown, Illinois, passed away Sunday morning, January 9, 2005 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado. He was born April 5, 1928 in Royalton, Illinois to Guy and Audella (Eisenhauer) BIBY. On March 11, 1950, he married Norma Jean Hertel in Mulkeytown, where he spent most of his adult life. He is survived by his three sons and their wives, Alan and Audrey (Handkins) BIBY and David and Paula (Issler) BIBY of Mulkeytown and Brian and Kathy (Destefano) BIBY of Portage, IN; grandchildren, William BIBY of Mulkeytown and Daniel BIBY and Michelle Ahlfeld of Portage; and sister, Alice Lundblad of Mulkeytown. Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, one sister, Laura Jean Bartels and infant brother, Robert. Jim worked at the Norge plant in Herrn from which he retired in 1990 after 37 years. He also, along with his wife, managed the Mulkeytown Water District for 29 years from its inception, retiring in 2004. From 1973 through 1997, he served Tyrone Township as a trustee and clerk. Except for his family, his greatest pride was the "home in the woods" he and his wife conceived and built and where they spent many happy years. He was a member of the Mulkeytown Christian Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher, Illinois, Brother Kurt Jensen & Rev. Dean Guymond officiating, with visitation after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in the Mulkeytown Cemetery in Mulkeytown, IL.
