I found your post very informative, I'd like to take this time to point out that I am one of those "fake" Biccum's that you mentioned. I've always been told from childhood I wasn't really a Biccum because of my Grandfather (Jack Biccum) changing his surname during WW2 (not WW1 as previously mentioned). His Mother was NOT Sarah Perrin (nee Kinney) but Sarah's daughter Hattie Perrin.
