George Bichler and Sarah Bilby are my grandparents. My father was their son Maurice (Moe). He was born in 1911 in Niagara Falls, NY. George was Sarah's second husband. My understanding is that, she was a widow with children living in Altoona,PA when they met. He either had, or got, a job in Niagara Falls and moved them up here. They had at least five more children together. The kids from the first marriage had the surname "Alcorn". The original spelling of Bickler was Bichler. Your grandfather and my father legally had the spelling changed from "ch" to "ck" because people pronouced it wrong. George and Sarah are buried here in Niagara Falls with the Bichler spelling on the markers. My father is beside them with the Bickler spelling. I have much more info if you'd like to contact me. I also have ?'s about my Uncle Chris who I heard about but never met.
