George and Elizabeth were born in Alsace Lorraine, Francein the 1830's immegrated 1850's. Their children were:Caroline Frances, George, John(my Grandfather), Rose, Elizabeth, Helen, Margaret and Joseph.

Adam Bixler moved from Indiana to Missori in the later 1800's. He was born in Ohio around l815. Don't have any info on his parents,although I have been searching for over 20 years. He had 4 children: Adam, John F., Lydia, and Eliza. Adam lived his entire life in Marshall Co., Indiana. John moved to Ohio. Not really sure exactly what happened to Lydia and Eliza. Some of this family changed their name from Bixel to Bixler.
I would really appreciate any info on any of these family members.

I have been in touch with you before, a few years back. I was hoping to learn what you've learned of the Bichsel family as the ones you're researching are mine too. I'll be happy to share what I have although it's not much.

I'm related to Caroline Bichsel. She's the daughter of George and Elsie and married to Joseph S. Knoblauch. I hope we can get in touch. I've been trying really hard to get anywhere with the Bichselle's and it's been impossible. My e-mail address is croszak@excite.com.

Bixler's of Missouri

My father's side of the family are from Canton, Mo. There are 4 or 5 Generations there. The farthest back I can go is my great-grandfather is Thomas Franklin Bixler. I know of one brother, George. I am looking for any relatives of Emma Bichsel, born 22 November 1879, in Saint-Sulpice, Sumiswald area of Switzerland. Her mother was Louise Bichsel, nee Pollerat, and her father was Jacob Bichsel. She married Charles Northam in 1909 in Hampstead, London, England, and they had a son, John Charles Northam (who was my father), and 2 daughters, Stella and Muriel. Emma died in South Petherton (near Yeovil), Somerset, England in 1946.

Searching for Bichsels of MO and KS. They may have been in OH befor that and they were German.
They pronounced their name Bou shawl. There were three siblings in St MArk, KS in the 1880's.
