Jayne Marie Riblet Bick, 55 of Girard, Pa., passed away at home Monday January 11, 2010 surrounded by her family
She was born September 23, 1954 in Erie, a daughter of Janet Raun Riblet of Erie and Gerald Riblet also of Erie. Jayne graduated from McDowell High School in 1973. Following high school she began raising her children in the Erie area and worked as an office manager, most recently employed by Dennis Smith Logging. She enjoyed the outdoors and all activities associated with it; Long walks, Hiking, Playing Golf and just being an active person who loved life. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, John Riblet. In addition to her mother and father she is survived by her husband, James R. Bick, whom she married in 1999 in New Orleans; also by a daughter, Tina M. Samluk and her husband Bill of Erie; a son, Michael J. Reitz and his wife Elisha of Erie; two sisters, Cathy Betts and her husband Steve of Orange County, Va.; Carol Stork and her husband Matt of Tampa, Fla.; a brother Gerald Riblet of Erie; five grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron and Emily Samluk, Michael J. Reitz Jr., and Jessica Reitz; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Daniel R.
