This guy is my great-grandfather, and he is a mystery. I have his birthdate as September 1870, and his date of death as July 03, 1933.

He refused to talk about his past other than to say that he came to the US from Germany in 1884. He stated he was a stowaway and came with an uncle from whom he became soon seperated. He may have had ties to the BLAU and WERNER families. His father may have been August Martin Bickel??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
