Our Henry, born 1800, had 2 sons, 5 daughters (1850 Census). We lost track of one son who probably moved to AL since he and his wife were born there. We know his wife and son were living in MS in 1870 (1870 Census) and that they were in Johnson, Hill, and Hall counties in TX in the early 1900s. Names: Henry m. to Syntha or Cintha had children:Mary Ann, b 1830 in TN; John Wesley (our line), b 1832 in AL; William J., b 1836 in AL; Martha H., b 1837 in MS; Elvira, b 1839 in MS; Ellen or Sarah E., b 1842 in MS; and Amanda, b 1846 in MS.
John Wesley was killed during Civil War, but had a daughter, Isadora, b 1863 in MS, and a son b 28 Mar 1865 in MS after his father's death.
John Wesley and his mother, Mahuldah Hester LOVELL BICKERSTAFF, moved to TX where he married Nana or Nannie Lu REED or Hall. They had 8 children: Lawrence who married Callie CALLAHAN; William Jackson (Jack) who married Nettie Sue THROCKMORTON; Edgar Earl (Earl) who married Katie BIBLE (our direct line); Maude who married Austin Herbert HILL; Everest Evan (Ebb) who married Blanche SELLECK; Henry (who died at 6 yrs. old); John Sidney (Dude) who married Allie Olene CHANDLER; and Margie who married Roy BEAVER.
Write if you need or have more info. I have the BICKERSTAFF, Lindsey, and Neill book that tells of the family coming over from Europe. There was one son born at sea. I am missing a connection but think Henry's father was Johnson BICKERSTAFF. The record I found at the archives was so faint I cold only guess at the name. No Mayflower family as far as I can tell. The date of the son born at sea was too late for that. Hoping to hear from someone about a connection. Thanks!
