Marjorie M. Bickert
1919-2004
Marjorie M. Bickert, 84, a resident of Cheyenne since 1994, died Jan. 2 in Cheyenne.
She was born May 11, 1919, in Rogers, Ark., to Fred and Mary Sawdey.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She married Herman Mason on Nov. 21, 1935, in Sidney, Neb. They moved to Atwood,
Colo., where they farmed for many years, moving to Sterling when Herman retired.
Herman passed away August 1976.
In 1979, Marjorie married Henry Bickert. They resided in Brush, Colo., for a short time
and then Sterling, Colo. Mr. Bickert passed away in 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Shepherd and husband, Dave of Cheyenne; a
sister, Irene Smith of Sterling, Colo.; a granddaughter, Kristi Pomeroy of Orlando, Fla.;
grandson, Scott Pomeroy and wife, Terri of Dripping Springs, Texas; and a
great-grandson, Jeremy Pomeroy, also of Dripping Springs.
Mrs. Bickert was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald and a sister, Fern.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home in Sterling,
Colo.
