Hi, and thanx for the reply. My Great Grandfather, Joseph Biel was born in or near Uder, Germany in 1856. He married Anna Marie Henning, my Great Grandmother. They Immigrated to America in 1890 with their son, Frank (Franz) Biel....my Grandfather. They established their home here in Pittsburgh, Pa...actually in the Spring Hill section of the city....also know here as "Deutschtown", or Germantown.

That's not to say that there isn't a connection. I'd like to keep in touch to see if you discover any other information regarding your Biel family connection.
