He is listed as Benjamin Sweat in the 1870 census of Bienville Parish. He married Annette Eliza Safford in Oct.1880 at<br>Natchitoches. He died June 3,1883 at Saline in Natchitoches<br>Parish leaving two children, Benjamin Scriven Swett and Lucille Edgarton Swett.
