My father was Alf born and raised as a cockney in the twenties (i know we have relatives in kent. Moved to blackpool during the second world war to build bombers. I would like to hear from anybody with info about ou family. does any body know the origins of the name? i think it's after a certain kind of four eared wheat called "bigg" the bigg market in newcastle england is named after it.
