I am trying to find information regarding the Biggers family that includes three consecutive generations bearing the Christian name,Thomas J.(the "J." thought to stand for Jefferson.)
The first Thomas J. Biggers that I am aware of married Zilla Blackwood ca. 1820's-30's. I do not know where they came from, but they had at least one son living in middle Tennessee ca. 1850.
This son, also named Thomas J., was married in middle Tennessee, ca. 1850, to Mary Jane McCrory. They continued to live in the Dickson, Williamson, Davidson Co. area of middle Tennessee until their deaths. This second Thomas J. died after 1899.
A third Thomas J. Biggers was born to T. J. and Mary Jane ca. late 1860's. This last Thomas J. married Susie Trolinger; they lived and died in Davidson Co., TN. He was an architect and builder in Nashville. I am not aware of any children born to this couple, although they may have adopted a child.
Each of these Thomas J. Biggers' had a number of siblings, the names of whom I will be glad to share if anyone thinks they have a connection with this particular Biggers line.
