I'm searching from a different angle - I'm researching my own father's family and have come to a dead end with one Henry Grainge, born abt 1798, possibly in Yorkshire. He married a Matilda Amphlett in London in 1825 or thereabouts. Matilda had 3 children by Henry, all with his surname and a further 4 or 5 by Robert Algar Clarke, all of whom were given the surname Grainge.
