Leo Walter Bigler "1918 ~ 2008" Leo W. Bigler, 89, passed away peacefully Feb. 23, 2008, in SLC, UT. Born Mar. 28, 1918 in Mt. Pleasant, UT to Walter Henry and Lorena Petersen Bigler. Married Elaine Burnside on Sept. 20, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. Leo owned Bigler's Auto and Appliance Service and worked for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad for over 42 years. He designed and built his house and was historian for the Temple Quarry Chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He could fix anything and excelled at working with his hands. Leo was a Lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved to do genealogy. Survived by daughter, Debra Bigler Williams; son-in-law, Fred L. Williams; Son, Gary Lee Bigler; daughter-in-law, Leslie Bigler; and two grandsons, Gary Scott, and Michael Lee. Preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, Sister, Cleo Bigler Sylvester, brothers, Paul Eugene and Boyd Jay Bigler. Funeral services will be held Wed. Feb. 27th 2008, 12:00 noon at the Sugarhouse Stake Center, 1621 South 1100 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple on Tues. evening from 7-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
