Bilby remarries Walter Henry Mills

Circa 1890 - 1895, Bilby, unknown Chritian name remarries Walter Henry Mills. they have a son Wlater F Mills born in London area in 1904 (confirmed). He marries Florence Lillian Milton and they have a son Walter RW Mills, born 1930,my Father.

If you have any information on the lineage of the unknown Mrs Mills (nee Bilby) married to Walter Henry I would be very grateful to know. Thx

Am looking for a Bilby that lived in Canandaigua, New York in the 1940's. Not sure of his first name but it may be Archie as I have found a book with this name and address in it. My great grandmother was married to a Bilby around this time. She had been married before to a Pritchard and then a Haynes. She shared no children with Bilby that we know of. Bilby I think had been married before. Her maiden name was Addie Clark.

I hesitate to answer because I haven't sorted out the information I have, but I'll share the dilemma:
Richard Bilby, our immigrant ancestor, came to the colonies about 1773, soldiered on the frontier during the revolution, and settled in Amwel Township, Washington county, Pennsylvania. He raised a family of at least 6 sons and 3 daughters. One of his sons was Richard Bilby who married in Amwel township, his wife died and he followed (or came with) his brothers and sisters to Clermont county, Ohio. He remarried, and it is believed that he had a son named Richard. He had a brother, William, who's oldest son was Richard Bilby, and they also migrated to Clermont county. Here the trail gets muddy: There are four marriages for Richard Bilby in Cleremont County, and I have not sorted out which Richard goes with which. Also, another brother, Phillip, ended up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a Richard is living neighbors to him, but without a wife. It is believed by some that both brothers died there. Also, there is a death recorded in Muskingum County, Ohio, for a Richard Bilby about 85 yrs. Also, some poor house records in that county for a Mary Bilby and a Richard Bilby. I'm mable bilby weber. looking for my dad's family. they were all born in jersey shore pa. area .Dad's name was woodrow wilson bilby. brothers were floyd, tyson, william couple more i don't know their names. sisters jenny and mable his mother passed away short time after he was born and father passed when he was real young.his sister mable bilby spong raised him. but his family was from jersey shore pa. his fathers name was william and mother katherine. any informatiom please contact me

Are you still reseaching Alice Maud Bilby? If she is the Alice Maud Bibley born in Plaistow, East London on 12th Dec 1884, then she was my great aunt. There were 11 Bilbey sisters, of which my grandmother, Rose, was the 10th. There were no brothers. I have quite a bit of information on the family and actually met Alice when I was a child. I am looking for info on Amelia Bilby born 1825 to William Bilby and Elizabeth unknown.
Amelia married John Rainsbury in 1841.
John was the son of Samuel Thomas Rainsbury & Eliza Yapp. John born 1822 in Deptford Kent England.
John and Amelia had children.
Caroline 1844, John 1845, Henry 1847, George 1851, Charlotte 1853, Thomas 1857, all born in Deptford and two further children born in Melbourne Australia.
William 1857 & Mary Ann 1859.
Any info on Amelia Bilby & family or John Rainsbury and family very greatfuly recived.

My lineage is Richard Bilby,who was deported to thr USA in 1773. Ihave the transcript of his trial. He was born 1756. His brother John Bilby was born abt 1751 in Nottinghamshire, Eng. He was married to Catherine Hyde. I have his death in 1810 and his spouse's death in 1825. I belive their first child was Johnathan Bilby and I think I have the rest of the genealogy up to the present time. I would be happy to hear from you.

Andrew, What is your grandfather's name. I have 11or 12 generations from Richard BILBY family of western PA to my grandchildren. I also have about 9or 10 generations of the John BILBY family of New Jersey. Lets try to put these families together.

Have linked seven generations of Bilby ,the first being the Richard in Nottingham who was father of the Richard who was deported as a prisoner to the colonies.Includes the 'Old Bayley" proceedings.
This all did me no good as it turned out there is no direct tie to my Bilby line.
I started the search on that line cause an internet site had them listed ,and I knew for fact it was wrong,it said my grandfather had three brothers which he did not ,as he told me so.

I think he is the son of William BILBY who came over in about 1747\8. Richard BILBY came over in 1773 I think both BILBYs were from the Nottingham area. I have been trying to put these familes together for a long time

This John Bilby is the first to appear in New Jersey branch.He died in Alexandria Township,Hunterdon Cnty,10Dec,1810.Seven decendant generations are accounted for but cannot get a line on HIS origins,although his birth is thought to be 1750, possibly the Nottingham Bilbys'

Margaret McALPINE was first married to a John PURGIE and they had a daughter, Anna J. PURGIE (b. 4 Sept 1844 Harpersfield, Delaware Co., NY - d. 28 May 1914 Monroe, NY). She marr. 23 Oct 1872 to David L. Merwin (b. 30 May 1829 Columbia Co., NY- d. 27 Mar 1904 Kinderhook, NY)

Electra HOBBS is d/o Jonas HOBBS (b. 31 Aug 1772 Princeton, Worcester Co., MA) and 2nd wife Deborah SCOVILLE (b. 1 Sep 1787 - d. 1829). Jonas HOBBS married Deborah on 2 Oct 1802, maybe in Rutland Co., VT.

Am searching for a Susan Bilby born around 1870's or 1880's. First married to George Pritchard having a daughter Elnora, my grandmother, then she married a Haynes and had a son I believe was named Charles. She is believed to have been born in Pennsylvania but not sure. Her first husband George Pritchard was born in Potter County, Pennsylvania. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Please help we are trying to find what happened to our GG Grandmother Ellen Bilby Rafter. She was born abt 1850. married John Rafter. WE know that in 1930 she was in Grand Rapids,Michigan in a hospital for feeble minded at age 80. We have been unable to find out what happen to her since. There is no trace of her being buried with her husband. Our attempts to get hospital records have gone unanswered.

Hello B. Fish. Phillip Bilby is brother to my GGgrandfather, Stephen Camp Bilby. I would very much like to coorespond with you about the Bilby Family. I lost track of Phillip's family after his death in Arkansas, and would like to follow it more closely. Also, Phillip's other brother, Richard spent time with him in Arkansas, and, I believe, left his daughter, Louisa, with Phillip and Margaret to raise. Henry is a son of this Richard. The LDS records are pretty extensive on this family of Bilbys. If your John is the original, all of his children and their spouses are listed, and any Bilbys that show up in Utah, Arizona, or surrounding states are probably his decendents. Sorry, Robert, That's one bunch of Bilby's I haven't researched. There were two different William Bilby's that were brought to the Colonies as transported prisoners in the 1700's, and perhaps they stayed on the Eastern Seaboard. Our Bilby's went to Western Pennsylvania, and from there on westward into Ohio and Indiana.

John W. Bilby/Bielby of N. Y.

Looking for family of John W. Bilby/Bielby of New York who had a daughter Edna about 1852. She married a Henry Still in Lockport, Niagara Co., New York than moved to Michigan about 1874.
They had their first son Frederick about 1873 in New York
than had all their other children Franklin John b. 1875 and twins
Henry and Harry in Sept. 1877 in Fairgove, Tuscola Co., Mich.
For some reason Henry Still born in 1852 changed his name to
Somers and Henry and Harry's names were changed to Albert
and Alfred Somers, they are listed in the 1880 census for that area.
They were living in the Detroit area of Mich. in 1897. Henry Still changed his name to Jay D. Somers and remarried..
We are wondering if any one knows why the name was changed. They had a son Harry born about 1888 in Michigan
and he moved to Settle Washington and had a son John.
I would appecate any help on this, seems to be a brick wall here.

His name is Robert Heller Moffett (b. 1823?, md. 20 Aug 1844 in Fayette Co, IN, d. 1882). I am descended through Viola and Robert Moffett's son Edgar Thomas Moffett (b. Jan 21, 1854 in Rush Co., IN, md. to Mary Alice Perkins on Apr 22, 1875, d. Jul 31, 1900). Have more info and a picture of Viola Bilby and Edgar Thomas Moffett.
