On the world tree their was a John Bing who died on 8-1780 in Merklenburg, Va. He had a son Samuel C. Bing who married Mary Fulton, who had a James Carrell Bing who married a Sarah W. Rife. James was born in Gallia, Ohio. died in Addisn, Ohio 11-4-1879. They had a son named Joseph M. Bing born about 1842. Joseph was in the 56th Ohio during the war and finished his tour in New Orleans, La. He stayed down here and married twice. First to a Elizabeth and then to a Mary Corry. I found this info on World Tree on Ancestry.com. I am doing research for a good friend who was the granddaughter of Joseph M. Bing here in New Orleans, La.
