I have an update for My South Carolina Bing's.
Mathew Bing b. pre 1800 Married Caroline?.
Child - Julius Mathew b. March 1836 Robert(s)ville, S.C.- raised near Gellisonville,S.C. -Married Rebecca C. Plumet (Aunt -last name of Weston). Rebecca died Charleston 1882& Julius died 1893 Charleston. Occupations of Julius -- Policeman (1870) & Bricklayer.
Children known -- Henry Mathew b. 1856, Plumet Mathew b. 1860, William Legare b. 1867, Elmore? b. ? in New York--Almond Haulphus b. ? and possibly Adolphus b. 1868 & Mary b. 1868 ( last two not confirmed).
Anyone looking in this area might try looking in the Freedman Bank Records.
Does anyone know where Gellisonville, S.C. is located?
