Diary from my ggrandfather has info on his grandmother who was adopted/foster child. Her name is confusing n long to me...Emory Allan Craig writes in his diary that there was much mystery surrounding his grandmother-Julia Salome De Bipp (Bippe)...He wrote and family story is that on her mothers death bed, Nanette Kirchner Martenet gave to her daughter her birth right record and this record was in the French langauge and was translated to read that Julia was Baptised at Church of Notre Dame France and the King and Queen were present.Emory did write to the church but no record could be found as he thought that her name was of her foster/adpoted family...then in pencil he noted "Kirchner probably" and wrote nothing more except her recounts of the hearding the cattle and her month long passage to America.
A few others wrote of her also here is what I have found
these...
BIPP : KIRCHNER : MARTINET
Query Text: One of my ancestors was the illegitimate daughter of Nanette Kirchner and Georges BIPP. On her birth record, it lists her father as being from Hausen, in the Duchy of Baden. She was born and baptised in Neuchatel, Switzerland in 1812; and came to the USA with her mother and step-father, Jonas Martinet, ca 1818. I am interested to know if anyone has been doing research on the BIPP family fronm this locale

I am am seeking information about my GG Grandmother Julia Salone De Beppe (or De
Bippe) Martenet (who became Martinet in the USA), born 27 Jan 1812. She left
Switzerland 12 Aug 1818 with her father Jonas Martenet age 22, her mother
Nanette Kirchner age 26 years, and a brother Jean Ferdinand age 1 ½ years old.
Her father was listed as a shoemaker by trade, living in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
He evidently was living in Neuchatel but he came from Les Hauts Geneveys, a small
village near Neuchatel. They were going to America by way of France.
I am very interested in all which touches this family: Julia, father, mother, and
brother. I would be very grateful for any information on them. Family stories
claim that she was the niece of King Louis XVI and that the King and Queen
attended her baptism; perhaps she was adopted by Jonas Martenet. That may be why
she has those strange names that are not Swiss. These are family stories and may
not be true

I'm trying to track down the surname BIPP, for Hausen,
Baden.
My gg-grandmother was born in the Swiss canton of
Neuchatel, and the archival information from there says
that she was the "illegitimate daughter of .... and George
Bipp coach worker from Hausen in the Duchy of Baden."
The date of her birth was 5 Mar 1812.
-Last one:
BIPP
Any information on George BIPP of "Hausen in the Duchy of Baden" would be greatly appreciated. His son, George, was the father of my gg grandmother. She was born in Neuchatel, Switzerland in 1812.
Any addition info would be greatly appreciated
