Hi Lawrence,
I believe there is a link because William BIRCH married Catherine LEE on 26/4/1802 at Wrockwardine, Shropshire and the second son was a John BIRCH. I have not attempted to follow that line yet but have followed a few others in conjunction with another researcher. I will do a bit more now and get back to you soon.
