BIRKENHEAD in Crowton and Weaverham areas of Cheshire

I am trying to trace my Birkenhead ancestors who lived in Crowton and Weaverham areas of Cheshire.
My grandfather was Thomas William Birkenhead(Born 1888).
He married Annie Wardle(Born 1885)and the wedding was registered in March quarter 1913 at Runcorn.
He had three sons by her - Thomas, John and George Samuel who was born March 1919. She died either in childbirth with George or shortly afterwards.
Thomas William married again at the end of 1919 to
Mary E Fryer (or maybe Dryer). This wedding was registered in December quarter 1919 at Northwich. There may have been two sons by this marriage or maybe Mary Fryer had her sons when she married Thomas.
I would be very grateful for any information regarding Thomas or his father or mother or siblings or either of his wives.
Thank you

BIRKENHEAD Family, Midlands and Cheshire England.

BIRKENHEAD - SURNAME

I am trying to trace my ancestors who came down to the Midlands from Cheshire in about 1796 to find work. They were George BIRKENHEAD and another who also came presumably at the same time, ( I do not know if they were brothers, cousins or no relation at all, was Richard BIRKENHEAD.)

GEORGE was born about 1773 and Richard about 1777. I believe they could have worked their passage to the Midlands via the canals.

GEORGE was a stone mason, and Richard was a builder.

Does anyone connected with the BIRKENHEAD name know of any relations or family who came down to the Midlands looking for work, or is there anyone who has BIRKENHEAD relations or ancestors in the Midlands.

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Ann Ashwood. Nee Birkenhead.
The Richard Birkenhead I am trying to trace was born around 1777 somewhere in Cheshire. He came down to the Midlands about 1797 together with my GGGGGrand father George Birkenhead looking for work. Richard was a builder and George was a stonemason. Neither of them returned to Cheshire they both married, had their families and died in the Midlands. Richard married an Ann White and George married an Elizabeth Tipper. I don't know if George and Richard were brothers, cousins, or were not related and I have not been able to trace their Cheshire families.

I do not think the Richard you are looking for is one of my ancestors.

Ann, I seem to relate an Elizabeth Birkenhead babt. 1505
of Huxley, Cheshire. She is said daughter of Adam Birkenhead babt. 1462 Birkenhead, Cheshire and Alice Huxley. He was son of Henry B. of 1432... son of Henry B. of 1408.... son of Adam de Birkenhead of 1383... son of Roger de Birkenhead of 1343.
There must be some early history of that city that might explain the name and family ties, but I haven't looked until now.

Hope this is of some use.
Jerry
