Hello Lorraine. You may be on to something. I have Garden Francis Birnie in my tree b. 26 Aug 1787 in Pitsligo Parish. He was the son William Birnie b. c1744 Pitsligo and Isobel Gaderer b. c1748 Peterhead. I have Garden Francis marrying Jean Burnett about 1810 in Newhills and having a son Garden Francis Birnie Jr. on 13 Mar 1814 in Newhills. I then lost track of them.
