My family history, originally compiled by Rolla Cowger, records Martha Jane Cowger married James M. Taylor, July 15, 1855, Jasper County, Illinois. He was a medical doctor. M.J.'s estate papers mentions three children: Frank Taylor, Saginaw, OR; May Taylor Pedly, Cairo, Nebraska; and Timothy Taylor, Parsons, Kansas.
