I am looking for information on my great-grandfather named patrick birt. He was born in ireland around 1837. I am not sure where but according to irsh records the only Birt's at that time were located in londonderry and antrim. I believe he may have spent time in England where he may have married susannah shields and had his first two children peter and george. He went to Bethlehem Penn in the 1860's
he is listed in the 1870 census with his wife and 5 children He had passed away by the 1880 census after having 4 more children the last one was james in 1877. He must of passed away between 1876-79. Does anything sound familiar?
