Dewitt F Bisbee

I am looking for information on Dewitt F Bisbee who the town of Bisbee Arizonia was named after. From the 1880 census in San Francisco CA he was born in Vermont around 1819, also both parents were born in Vermont which puts them as very early settlers there. Where my interest lies is I found a marriage for him to a Susan Keith in Lorain Ct Ohio 5-8-1850, shortly after he was found on the 1850 census in Jefferson Ct Louisana with Susan. Does anyone know who his parents may have been? My Bisbee family was in Lorain Ct Ohio during this period of time also coming from Vermont, which makes me wonder if there may be a connection. I have found no Bios on him only his connection to Bisbee Arizonia and the fact he never set foot in the town named after him. I would love to hear from anyone who could shed any light on his back ground. Thank you Barbara

Charles was born 4-18-1866 in Wood Ct Ohio and died after 1920 as he is on the 1920 census in Cygnet Ohio. I have been unable to find a burial in Ohio and I wonder if this Charles could be him. Did I send a GEDCOM to anyone on this list? If so, could you e-mail me a copy?
Thanks.

A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY: in spite of rampant Internet information to the contrary, all stemming, I believe, from a single erroneous source, Reuben Bisbee, who married Lydia Cushman (1797) in Plymouth County, Ma., is NOT the son of Elijah Bisbee and Eleanor Pierce. Also, Lydia Cushman is NOT the daughter of Ebenezer Cushman and Rebecca Churchill. Anyone who traces their ancestry from this couple and want documented facts (too much to post here), please contact me.

Marion and Erma Bisbee?

I'm new to this and I'm looking for anyone who may have this family in your line. Marion and Erma Bisbee (my g grandparents) lived in England, Arkansas. They had 3 children that I am aware of: Alma Bisbee, Claude Bisbee and Dorothy Bisbee.

Alma Bisbee (my grandmother) was born about 1899 and was married to James Bensley. Together they had 7 children: Marion, Alice, Norval, Warren, Harvey, Gary and Merle. James was a farm hand and the family moved around quite a bit. A couple locations I'm aware of are Pocahantos, Iowa and Yale, Iowa. They may have lived in other states as well. Alma passed sometime in mid to late '70's.

Claude Bisbee was married to Helma and I believe they lived in Cresbard, SD. In a photo I have it looks as though they had 5 children: Shirley, Helen, Don, Dale and Duane

Dorothy was married to a Luke Stanley.

That's most the information I've gathered so far. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Children of Robert Carlton and Marion Bisbee

I am desperately trying to find anything about Robert Carlton Bisbee. He is my wife's FATHER. He kept her for a short time while he lived in California, before her mother moved to Texas with her.

I know that most of his children probably know nothing of, Donna Marie Bisbee, except for a daughter that would be around 50 now, she was best friends with Donna's, Chrissi or Sharon. I understand that she look a lot like Donna.

My wife is approaching her 40th birthday and knows nothing about her father. What kind of man was he? What did he look like. Was he a good man, Husband and Father?

I am not asking for anything except for my wife to have the privilege of knowing her father.

Her birthday is September 6, and if anyone can help me before that date it would be greatly appreciated.

It would be the Great present I could ever give her....Her Father.

Sincerely,
Bradley E. Morgan
arkranch@pflash.com

Elisah Bisbey NOT the son of Thomas Besbeech ?

I have seen a lot of people using the Elisha Bisbey b.Abt. 1616 as the son of Thomas Besbeech. Has anyone PROVEN this and what is the source of the record which ties Elisha to Thomas.. if you are using the source of Frank Bisbee in his book, he says "Probably" the son of Thomas. He is using the surname as a possible link between the two.. and Elisha did not come with Thomas over to New England. Nothing is mentioned in Thomas nor Elisha probate to link the two. So if someone out there as a Proven source I would appreciate the help.
