Also Joseph BISHOP and wife Sarah, parents of William baptised Brackley, Northamptonshire 1816. Also seeking descendants and related families of carpenter William BISHOP who married Elizabeth HAWKES in Banbury, Oxfordshire in 1850. Wm & Eliz emigrated to a farm in Brant County (Ontario) in 1858 with children Sarah Ann & Joseph Charles. An older child, William HAWKES, was also a member of this household; he was called HAWKES in the 1851 Banbury census and BISHOP in the 1861 Ontario census. Sarah Ann BISHOP married 1.- Rowland COWPER & 2.- J. Frank BURTON, both of Dundas, Wentworth County, Ontario. Joseph Charles BISHOP married Mary Adelaide SAGE in Brantford - they owned furniture businesses in Winnipeg; their son Walter Branson BISHOP (born Winnipeg) married Alice Maud GRIFFITH/GRIFFITHS in Grand Forks, BC in 1902 and later lived in Vancouver.
