I agree ... I don't think our Bishop's are from The English John Bishop...
A cousin of ours... I spoke to him years back... Reg Bishop of Picton,Ontario... He said that he had a professional Genealogist...A Mr. Gordon Crouse I believe.. He did some research...He stated that James Bishop Sr... was Irish and was born in Ireland... He first bought land in Quebec...then in Sophiasburgh, Ontario...
