There were numerous Bishops in the Palmyra, Wayne, Pennsylvania area. John Bishop was one of the first settlers. Not exactly sure where the family came from prior to Wayne Co. I believe possibly New York/New Jersey as Wayne Co is just over the border. I am descended from two of John's children, but I have no information on his parents or family.
