I have a copy of the Lineage Application approved for membership in DAR which lists the following lineage:Henry N. Biven was child of James H. Biven b.1775 at Charles Co. MD d. Lewis Co, KY March 28,1855 and his wife Mary Evans b. in Virginia d. before 1850 m. November 22, 1807. The said James H. (Hoye) Biven was the child of Benjamin Beaven b. abt 1750 at Charles County, MD d. Charles Co. Md, will written June 24,1820, proved November 9, 1820. His wife was Cassana (else where I found Cassandra) Casey d. Charles Co MD bef 1820 m. abt 1770.
Benjamin Beaven was a Revolutionary soldier, serving as Lieutenant in Captain Cawoods Company, 26th Battalion for Charles County Militia (Charles County, MD) Vol. 2 p. 234 in UNPUBLISHED REVOLUTIONARY RECORDS OF MARYLAND. This application further states that Benjamin and Cassana's children were: Susannah, Elizabeth Mary, James Hoye and Charles. DAR record: #322508 Add 387 for Geraldine Harrington Woodsmall, Jaufline Chapter of Memphis, Missouri. Several of you posting querries are descendents of Benjamin Beaven, son of Charles And Mary Hoye. Charles was the son of Richard Bevan and Jane Blanford. Richard was the son of Charles, the immigrant to Maryland from Wales. Mary Hoye was the daughter of Paul Hoye and Frances Dorset.
