If this is a match. there is a text on line from a 1914 genealogy of Bixby that goes back to 1437 in England. In which case we have a bingo : )

Foot notes:
John Bixby removed to Vermont where he lived for a time.
Thence he removed to Pennsylvania, probably about 1812, settling
in Columbia township, that part now Sylvania, where he lived the
rest of his life. ... The date on which he settled in Pennsylvania, and the places of birth of his children have been
variously given, and it has been impossible at the time this has had to go to press, to be sure about
them. Mrs. Lydia L. Gillett (12734.4M-1) has a paper, undated, written in her handwriting, at
the dictation, she thinks, of her mother, which states as follows: "John Bixby, born 3 Feb., 1777, at
Princeton, Mass., married Polly Davis 26 Jan., 1798. John Bixby lived at Boylston, Mass., and
his wife at Princeton, Mass., at the time of their marriage. They lived in Vermont, near Burling-
ton, where five of their children were born, removing to Columbia Township about 1812." Miss
Anna M. Jones (12734.47-72) reports that Mrs. Miriam Wood (12734.47) said that all of the chil-
dren, except the two eldest, were born on the farm in Sylvania, which would make the date of com-
ing to Pennsylvania about 1800 or 1801. Mrs. Otis C Bixby (12734-456) states that her husband's
father well remembered the moving to the farm with ox teams, and that he was then about 6 years
old. He was born in 1806. It was thought that the date of purchase of his farm would tell, but
no deed to him is on record at Towanda, and no patent to him is on record with the Secretary of
Internal Affairs, at Harrisburg. Letters to the clerks of all Vermont towns near Burlington have
failed to find birth records of any of his children.
