COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa
Leo Martin Bixby, Sr., 64, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at his brother's home in Columbus Junction.
The body was cremated. Committal rites were today at the Nichols Cemetery.
The Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in Muscatine was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born June 21, 1936, in Nichols, the son of Lewis Glen and Helen Irene Ravenscraft Bixby, Sr.
He had worked as a welder in the mining industry.
Survivors include four sons, Marty of Florida, Denny and Jeff, both of Coal Valley and Jerry Dean of Davenport; two daughters, Candice Dolquist of South Carolina and Christina Page of Davenport; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Lewis Bixby, Jr. of Columbus Junction, William Bixby of Nichols and Robert of Idaho; two sisters, Leona Edgington of California and Patricia Stroud of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Cynthia Mae in infancy.
