I am searching for information on a James Black from Scotland. Here is what I know.

James Black emigrated to Ireland about 1680 and settled near Letterkenny, County Donegal. He married Katy Campbell and had 6 children - 3 sons, William, Matthew and John and 3 daughters.

The sons' sons came to America and settled in Delware which later became Pennsylvania. The next fact I have is a James Black born March 14, 1740 who married a Ruth.

I have much information about James and Ruth Black's decendents which I am happy to share. If any one has any information about the family pre-James and Ruth, please let me know. Thank you.
