Reposting my interests: Three Blacklock brothers came to Canada abt. 1834-1835: (1) Thomas C Blacklock (b. 15 May 1804 Ecclefechan, SCT. d. 15 Dec 1884 Elberta,MI.); (2) William James Blacklock (1812-1890); and (3) James Blacklock. Thomas Blacklock married Jean Cock chr. 17 Apr 1803 Dornock SCT, d/o Alexander COCK and Jean ROME. They had 13 children, six born in SCT. They were (1) William Morris Blacklock, b 15 June 1823; (2) Alexander Blacklock, b 3 April 1826; (3) Isabel Blacklock, b. 13 Feb 1827; (4) John Blacklock, b 26 Feb 1829; (5) Jane Blacklock, b 1833; and (6) Peter Blacklock, b betw 1833-1835. The others were born in Ontario; (7) George Blacklock, b 16 June 1836; (8) Margaret Blacklock, b betw 1837-38 Ontario; (9) Thomas Blacklock, b bet 1838-1840 Ontario; (10) James Carruthers Blacklock, b 11 June 1841 Ontario; (11) Robert Blacklock, b 31 May 1845 (12) Henry Gordon Blacklock, b betw 1846-1848 Ontario, and
(13) Matilda who died in infancy.

This is what I want to know: Who were the parents of Thomas C. Blacklock? Who were the parents of Jean Rome? Is Alexander Cock the same Alexander Cock whose first wife was Margaret Watson? Who were the parents of Alexander Cock?
