I am a decedent of Edith Louise (Blacksmith) Oldfather. I am searching out any information that has to do with George E. Blacksmith. He married Nellie Elizabeth (Ogburn) Isaacson. George's father was George William Blacksmith and his mother was Louisa(Lucy) Geeseka.

George E. Blacksmith was born November 28th 1883 and died September 1st 1963. Lucy's parents were his father, William Geeseka who lived in Flecthingen Near Madenburg, Pruissa. And his mother was Frederika Krakel who also lived in Flectchingen but it says it was near Madenburg Germany.

I have a bit more information if it is needed but I thought this was a good start to see who is related.

I have often wondered where we came from. My grandparents were Blecksmits from Germany, my grandmother's maiden name was Colliger from Ohio. Someone from the Ogala Suoix called me a few years ago wondering if we were related as I think that there are a few Blacksmiths on the res. (I wish!) Being a student of the southwest as I am, I believe that our ancestors did come southwest for the trade and left a few kiddies behind. Just how would you trace that?

I'm looking for information on my great grandfather Aloysius. The only information I have is that he was born 12/09/1876 in Newark, NJ and died 05/18/1946 in Newark. He was married to Frances McElroy and they had 2 sons - Albert and Floyd (my grandfather). From what I know his line comes from Germany.

I would appreciate any information anyone can give. Thanks.
