I am researching my family surname of Blanch, my father was Thomas Evans Blanch, married to Mary Bowey and lived in the Blyth, Nothumberland, England. He served in the 174th Field battery Royal Artillery during the second world war, and was a miner after that. He was born in 1901 and died in 1963. The name in itself is unusual and any attempts to trace it end in dissapointment. Hr had several brothers, Oliver, Arnie, Kit and a sister Betty. I hope my search will soon be over. Thanks, joan Blanch.
