Born in England in 1853, Died in 1914. At the age of 2 or 3 he moved to Scotland and, when of age, learned the trade of carrage maker. He came from Scotland to New York City around 1894/94 and changed his trade to carpenter and spent the rest of his life there. His fist wife died in in childbirth in 1895.
