His parents were John B. Blanton and Lillian Purcell. The lineage goes:

George and Elvira (Lee) Blanton>Burwell and Phoebia Margaret (Bridges) Blanton>George and Priscilla (Harrill) Blanton>William Beaty Sawyers and Almina Clementine (Whiteside) Blanton>John B. and Lillian (Purcell) Blanton.

Going further back, the lineage is less certain. However, this is very likely it:

Thomas and Jane Blanton>William Blanton>George Blanton

I am also searching for info on this line. My grandfather was James H and my greatgrandfather was Arthur E.
Arthur married Francis McLeod in 1894 in Madison County. At some point they moved to Manatee County where they are buried at Braden River Cemetery. I have no dates on Arthur or who his parents were. I will check to see if I have anything on 'your'blantons and get back with you
Lynda
