No, that is not the right one. The one being looked for was born in San Diego County, CA. The son was probably born in the East Bay area by San Francisco.

in Nebraska, USA of Blaker, but their
Bohemian name was Blecha.

My grandfathers name was Bowman Blaker. He lived
in Cass County Nebraska born 1898.

The Blecha's I am related to were John and his wife Vera who lived west of Elk city Kansas. They are both deceased now. They had 6 children, Alta, Onalee, Claudia, Othie, Darrell, Edith. All deceased now except Onalee.

I am one of the 3 daughters of Othie.

I have an original postcard photograph of “Frank C. and Margaret W. Blecha”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was mailed in August, 1909 from Los Angeles, and identifies the children as Frank: “4 months, 23 days”, and Margaret: “2 years, 19 days”.

I found the children in the family of Frank and Jessie E. Blecha, in the 1920 census for Redlands (San Bernadino Co.) CA, showing Margaret was age 13 and Frank C. was 10. SSDI shows this Frank was born 26 Jan 1916, and died March 1984. OneWorldTree shows his name as Frank Cerney Blecha and he was married 1934 to Martha Smith.

My husband's great great great grandmother was originally listed in family records as Blecha. We have since discovered that the name was actually Blechova. She was from Neuwallisdorf, Bohemia. Her married name was Wenzl. The family immigrated first to Chicago and then settled in southeastern Nebraska.

I am researching my huband's family. His great great great grandmother was originally listed as Blecha. I have just recently discovered that the name is actually Blechova. Her name was Josepha Blechova. Her parents were Wenzl Vasclav Blechova and Ann Brouk. Josepha was from Chric, Bohemia. She married Franz Xaver Wenzel/Wenzl in Neuwallisdorf, Bohemia (now Austria). They eventually settled in Steinauer, Nebraska. Does anyone here have any connections?

I don't know if I can help or not but since there is not much on the Blecha line I thought I would give you what I have. My grandfather was Josef Blecha who immigrated in 1887 and lived in Omaha, Nebraska. I am told he came to the U.S. with a brother who may have lived in Chicago or elsewhere. My grandfather was from near Prague, Czech. I know nothing about his family or siblings. There is a Blecha organization in Nebraska, I think, that holds a yearly get together that might be able to help you.

According to my Aunt, Josephine Blecha was the mother of Johnaa Wenzel and Johann was the uncle of my great grandfather Joe Wenzel.

Looking for more information on Magdalena Blech(ov)a, daughter of Frantisek Blecha of Vyskov. Magdalena was married to Jan Klepetko from Blatnice, Chotebor, Bohemia. They had a son, Frantisek, on 6 October 1819 in Jenikov, Chrudim, Bohemia.

This information comes from a birth record I have in my files. It shows the state as Austria.

Anyone who has information, I would greatly appreciate your input!

I have some information about Neu Wallisdorf, Bohemia that was part of the Austrian Empire in the 1800s. Feel free to contact me directly: FiftyNineR69@comcast.net as this was my ancestral village. It was very small, only 100-150 residents, with an unknown Jewish population.

The nearby town of Wallisgrün (also called Wallisgruen or Wallisdorf) is now called Kuzová, which is near Cista. I was able to locate a single map showing these villages, and can send to you.

I don't think this is really going to help as much as you would like but my greatgrandfather was Joseph Blecha and his son Rudolph Blecha was my grandfather who lived in Colorado and was a farmer. My father is Edward Blecha one of 12 children who came from Velma and Rudolph.

Chicago Blecha family?

My father was Joseph William Blecha. I grew up in Chicago (The Village of Stickney actually). I know far more about my Vostry & Sestak relations. Thanks for all of the postings in this forum. I understand that the Deputy Chief of the Kansas Bureau of Invesigation is another Bob Blecha. I am also looking for info on my Blecha line. My g-g-g-g-grandmother was Rozalie Blecha of Bohemia. I don't know Rozalie's parents or siblings names. I know her husband was Josef Kabele of Bohemia, and they had two children that I know of, Jan (John) and Anna. Any help you could give me would be appreciated. I haven't been able to find anything so far on the internet geneology search sites yet, plus I don't have much to go on. I don't even know Rozalies birth or death dates, etc. I just know she was from Bohemia. I do know her son John was born 15 June 1838 in Hoste, Chrastany, Bohemia, and married a Barbara Hajec of the same town in the same town in 1860 or 1861.

I don't have very much on my Blecha line to go on. All I have is that Rozalie Blecha was the mother of my 3rd great grandfather Jan (John) Kabele from Hoste, Bohemia. Rozalie's father was Josef Blecha of Hoste, Bohemia. Rozalie was married to Josef Kabele of Hoste, Bohemia. I don't know any of the birth or death dates for the Blecha's. I don't think that they themselves ever came to America, but maybe a relative of thiers did. I do know that Jan (John) Kabele was born 15 June 1838 in Hoste, Bohemia. Josef and Rozalie also had at least one other child that I have found named Anna who was born 4 Feb 1831 in Hoste, Bohemia as well.

If anyone has any other information on this family and their lines, I would love to hear from you.

Josepha Blechova (Josephine Blecha) was eldist of six children born to Wenzl Vaclav Blecha. Wenzl died in route to America. My 3rd Great Grand Father was her brother. Please feel free to email me with questions.

Actually, I had a very nice conversation with your Uncle Tony. I found him through a wonderful lady and gentleman who know about the Blecha family. He mentioned that his brother, Carson, lived close by. He has photos of my Grandfather, and I would love the opportunity of seeing them or getting copies of them sometime! My Uncle Edward has visited your family, but I still don't have the complete picture on our families' relationship. Your Uncle Tony does not think we are related, but I remember my Uncle mentioning a Mary Blecha, and unless I really messed up my notes, she was an Albrecht, which is my GGrandmother's maiden name. Or maybe I am just getting confused! I'm so glad you wrote - maybe we can help each other out. My Mom, who remembers your family (she is the oldest), isn't sure, either. We have communicated before on the Novy board. My Grandfather, Edward Howard, was born in Riverside, Iowa. His Father was Albert Novy; his Mother, Frances Albrecht. Frances emigrated to Chicago at as a teenager, and married Albert there. I do not have their places of birth yet. Because I correspond with my Grandmother's family (she was a Mrazek) in CZ, I am hoping that at some point I can break the language barrier and maybe the ones left may be able to give me a clue! My Grandfather's family moved to Oklahoma, and were farmers. There were a lot of Novys in Iowa. My GGrandparents, Albert and Frances, are buried in the Czech cemetary in Chicago. My Grandparents, Edward and Bessie, are buried in El Reno, OK. Bessie was born in Zahradka, in the district of Pacov.

My grandmother, Mary Blecka who married John Holan, was the oldest daughter of Joseph E. Blecka who was married to Mary Hubka. Mary Hubka's siblings were Josephine, Amos, Caroline, James, Joseph, and Josephine.Mary and Joseph's children were Mary (my Gmother), Amos, Emma, Carolina, and Matilda.

My father changed the spelling of his surname,to Blake. His baptism record shows Blecha (Blacha). His father was Frank and his mother was Barbara Frint (Flint). He was born May 30,1900 in Astoria NY.
Baptism Was at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
323 E 61st Street NY NY on June 17,1900
He had brothers named: Frank,Tony,Jerehmia
Dad was married before he married my mom to Jean Keller, He had a tatoo on his arm with the year 1923.

This could possibly be a connection. My father's brother was Anthony (Tony)Blecha.
I do not know if he married or not, your
Tony could be a nephew,grandson or something to my Uncle. I do not know if Nory is related or not. Sorry this is all new to me.

They were from Astoria Queens, NY. I do not know anything about my uncle. I didn't even know my father had changed the spelling of the surname. My Grandfather was Frank Blecha(Blacha) and his wife was Barbara Ann (Flint).

Hi! I have been searching for any info regarding Fred Blecha's ancestors. We asked husband's grandfather (Fred Blecha's son) if he remembered his father's name and he said "Paul". We are not sure if he is right, as he is 88 and not in good health mentally or physically, and we cannot find any info on a Paul. We do know that Fred was married to Nettie Rytych and they had three children: Edward Henry, Louis and Elsie. Fred was born on 10-22-1879 in Nebraska. Any info about Fred's siblings or other ancestors would be appreciated.

My Blecha's came from Skorice or Skortiz through the Port of New Orleans and settled in the area of Newberg, Greenwood and Clark County, WI. Still missing a few.
