Merkle i am grand daughter of jane havins and will wallace i would love a picture of melvina jane bleeker and do you know of anyone who has any of jane havins? i have very few pics of the family . i have a sister in oklahoma and she knows a man whose line goes back to the meeks indian and the wallace girl who was kidnapped ,he has been looking for info for years on his family was so surprised to have met him and to know we were somewhat related , he said she went with the indian man of her own will and we always heard she was taken by force if you can send me a copy of melvina i would love it, my email is pmcclearen@triad.rr.com thanks

What are some of the names you are looking for? My family tree is on the bleeker side, Everet Bleeker, He married Antje Hiekens, Thier children are: George Bleeker, Hilko Bleeker, Hie Bleeker which is my grandfather, Sophie Bleeker, Harry bleeker, Anna (Tena) Bleeker, Anna E. Bleeker, Tillie Bleeker, and Harm Bleeker.

Thought you might like to have them...I am interested in discussing details of the Bleeker family. Dave Bleeker, my Grandfather was from Whon Texas where he is buried. He was the son of John Peter Bleeker and Catharina...? of Germany.Adam was the son that arrived with them in Galveston Texas in 1846, where the mother died in childbirth, and John Peter m. Melvina Jane Wallace, dau of William Wallace that you mentioned in your post. Included is a Pic of Grandfather David Bleeker, and a pic of his 3 daughters, with my mother seated. Yes, thats my Grandfather (Maternal side) that is buried at Whon. His father was John Peter Bleeker who came from Germany in 1846, Darmstadt, shipped from Antwerp Belgium to Texas (Galveston) Had his lst wife Catharina ......? Blucher, also a German and one son, Teen-Aged Adam Blucher, with him. This wife died either at sea or soon after de-barking in Texas. She was PG and both died. We are talking about John Peter Bleeker now. Soon he m. wife # 2, Melvina Jane Wallace (Pic Att) Also Pic Att of Dave W.Bleeker, my Grandfather- buried at Whon) Somehow, I can explain later, Father John Peter & son Adam
m. Wallace sisters, the son, Adam married the older sister.
After she died, he m, # 3, Charlotte Havins, my Grandmother.

The photo is of Melvina Wallace, John Peter`s 2nd wife after wife # 1 Catharina...died at sea or soon after arriving at Galveston Texas in 1846 aboard the Ship.....? She died of Childbirth, a female. I just recieved a pic from a woman in Belton, Texas. It is Melvina Jane Wallace Bleeker, John Peter Bleeker`s (Blucher`s) 2nd wife. They had several children. His 3rd wife was my Grandmother. Had more children. Rare pic!

Blucher. My DAVE BLEEKER was Adams half brother that was Charlotte Havens, John Perter`s 3rd wife. His 2nd wife was a Wallace girl.
