Henry Blevin married my grandfather wife Pear M. Parker/Hammers.They had two children Ishmeal born in 1917 and Curtis born in 1920. The 1920 census shows Henry was born in 1868 in Georgia. In 1930 census Pearl is a widow with Ishmael and Curtis. I would like to know what happened to her. She and my grandfather had 6 children.
Henry's name is spelled different one it is Blevens and Pearl spelled it Blevins.

Married Sarah Armstrong at Boonville, MO 14 June 1832, had one son J. L. D. Blevens, born 25 Jan 1836. James died 1841 and his widow married John Anderson (by great-grat grand Mother). Want information to help me trace Sarah's line.

Mr. Blevins died at his home in Rhoadesville, VA, on Sunday, February 12, 2006. He was preceded in death by father, Willie Bart & his wife Ida Judy Blevins. Survived by his mother, Maude Blevins; four children: Walter W. Blevins, Jr. & wife, Theresa; Virginia J. Barbare & husband, Chuck, all of Rhoadesville; James J. Blevins of Culpeper, VA, & Edward A. Blevins, Sr. & wife, Roshell, also of Rhoadesville; three sisters, Lois J. Knopp of MD; Betty Richardson of NC, & Ola Myers of MD; brother, David Ben Kaufman of Rhoadesville; 15 grandchildren, & three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, February 17, 2006 at Price Funeral Home in Manassas, VA, Bro. Roger Alder, officiating. Burial followed at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.

PLEASE SHARE INFORMATION FROM THE OBITUARIES IN YOUR NEWSPAPERS.

My great great grandfather was named George Washington Blevens, and we changed the spelling of our name to Blevins on or around 1945. I would appreciate any information anyone has. In our indian papers my great grandfather's parents were listed as James & Annie (Both showed to be from Tennessee)

We are from Okla.also. Our James Blevins (1833-1899)came from Carter Co.Tn.>Mo.>Ill>Red river Co.Tx.>Pontotoc Co. Okla>Cleveland Co.Ok. Our branch of the family changed the spelling around 1890.Are we of the same branch? I would need to know more as I have researched it pretty well.

I am trying to find the wife of Martin Kimsy BLEVENS. He is my gggrandfather, b.7/25/1873 Bentonville, Arkansas, d. 2/7/1953, buried Lee Summitt, Missouri. His parents were John and Mary Ann (Dryden), siblings were James, Silas, Delilah and John(?). His wife died between 1907 (birth of last child) and 1910 (1910 census records show him widowed w/four children and living with James' family).

Charleston Notes From Wednesday's daily:
Charleston,March 29-Miss Etter Blevens, living near Blackwell's west of Charleston, died Friday and was buried at Charleston cemetery Friday evening. Rev. C.C. Williams officiated. (There is no year stated. Etter was the sister of my grandmother Bertha Dean Blevins Guffey. I would like to find someone who has listed the Charleston Cemetery in Delta County Texas who can tell me Etta's date of death.

I have a Nancy Blivens b. 19.4.1853 d. 18.3.1887 married William Hultz 8.4.1869 in Adams Co., IL.
Also Mary Blevins b.? d.? married William Close no marriage date. Mary and Wm. had a son, John
born in Missouri. John Close lived in Il at the time of his marriage to Amanda Myers abt.1894.

Mary Blevins born 1710 is supposedly daughter of William Blevins. I am a descendant of these through William /Sarah Hampton > Joseph who married Rachel Knoe(Noe).
