Eleanor Elizabeth Chandler Bearer of Russell and Benjamin Michael Blick of Youngsville were married on June 20, 2008, at Kinzua "Resort," 997 Hemlock Rd., Warren. The Revs. Rick Rohlin and Dale Haight of Praise Fellowship, Russell, officiated. Music was provided by Dave and Nathaniel Blick, groom's father and brother, and Andrew Dahlgren.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Bearer of Tulsa, Okla. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Blick of Youngsville.

Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by maid of honor Priscilla Bearer, her sister, of Los Angeles, Calif.; matron of honor Brittany Shreve of Auburn Alabama; and by bridesmaids Laurie Sapp, Houston, Texas; Randi Blick, groom's sister; Danielle Chapman, Garden Valley, Texas; and Sarah Johnson, Warren.
Flower girls were Michaela and Ariel Bearer, bride's nieces, of Commerce, Texas.

Best man was Nathaniel Blick, groom's brother. Groomsmen were Andrew Dahlgren, Sheffield; Trevor Spencer, Pittsfield; Tyler Spencer, Langley, Va.; Matt Englebert, Youngsville; Wes Chapman, Tyler, Texas; and Josia Blick, groom's brother. Ringbearer was Christian Blick, groom's brother.

A reception followed the ceremony at Praise Fellowship, Russell. Master of ceremonies was Dave Blick.

After high school, the bride spent five years as a full-time Christian missionary at Youth With A Mission, Tyler, Texas. She now helps with homeschooling her husband's brothers and works at Fresh Cup. The groom earned an associate's degree in forestry technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology and is employed as a forestry technician in Allegheny National Forest.

Following a honeymoon to Belize, the couple resides Clarendon.

All I have in an An Critchely born 23 Jan 1784 and who maried a David Blick 22 Jan 1807
Ann's father was a James Critchley but I have no mother or other kin

Ann was born in Hindley, Lancashire

I'm looking into my family background and found my gran's family - Critchley's from Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Henry Critchley was my G G Grand Father born 1820. He and his wife Ellen had many children and I'm still finding more.
Have to any date's to go by.

Hi,

I spent a lot of time and money looking into all this and I have most of the answers with back up.
I haven't been actve on the family tree for some time now as I hit a hard point around 1700. I have proof that the Blicks date back in Minchinhampton, Gloucester back as far as 1500 on micro fiche parish record but have not been able to link them yet as the info is hard to read.
If you contact me on my hotmail address I will have more time to look up specific things for you.
I did start a Blick Family website with all on but unfortunately it has long gone

Hi Darren.

We are at the same point. I gues syou know family trees for both the brother and Anne Blick are on the internet but there is a difficulty in that Thomas Blicks (The brother) father is recored as William Blick and Annes as David. They were born only a few years apart so common sense suggests they are brother and sister. William is given as Anne grandfather but there are problems if William is Thomas's father. To make that work William needs a new wife. (Dont we all?_

Thomas and Hannah(GAY) BLICK and family went to Nelson NZ in 1843 from Stroud as Thomas was my gggrandfather. As you say they were all related. The NZ records are all documented.
I live in Australia. His parents were David Blick and Ann Critchley.
Thomas's sister Ann BLICK m Thomas HARMAN the two families emigrated together to NZ.

I don't know if your still looking into your Van Santford relatives but I happened to stubble upon a interesting picture while looking for my Van Santford relations. It is of Homer B Van Santford as a Brakeman on a train. Homer I believe was William and Mina's Son. This picture is located on the Library of Congress Archive Picture search. Just put in Van Santford and it will come up. Enjoy!

my wifes ggggrandfather was george blick.he was born c1817,married to eliza borne c1817.im now stuck. i havent been able to find brothers and sisters for george.eliza was in most of the census has born in minchinhampton stroud,gloucester,but in 1891 was down has a british subject of the east indies?i would love to be able to find more family,before and after george----can you help?

A Walter Blick born abt 1875 emigrated with his family from england to America in about 1906. He had a daughter, Lillian, who then became Lillian McQuaid.
Other children were Arthur, Maurice and Doris. they were all born between 1899 and 1904 I think.

Matt - I have a Nicholas Blick who was born in Wisconsin on May 30, 1870, and who died in Colwich, Sedgwick County, Kansas, on September 8, 1955. He married Anna Steffens on February 25, 1895, in St. Marks Catholic Church, St. Marks, Sedgwick County, Kansas. Anna Steffens was born in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin on August 3, 1876, and died in Colwich, Sedgwick County, Kansas, on July 15, 1946. Both are buried at the Colwich Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Anna's father was John Peter Steffens (b. 1841 Haertou, Germany d. July 15, 1915 Del Norte, Rio Grande County, Colorado). He first married Gertrude Freund (b. about 1842 Germany d. 1874-1875 Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.) He then married Anna's mother Susanna Ternes (b. October 4, 1851 Germany d. November 10, 1917 Cunningham, Kingman County, Kansas.) Both John Peter and Susanna Steffens are buried at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.

Nicholas and Anna Blick had the following children: John, Anna Marie, Sophia, Martha, Eleanor, Ida, William, Nicholas, Edward, Ernest, Gregory, Robert, and Richard.

I'm not positive who Nicholas' parents are, but I suspect they are your John and Mary Blick. The reason I say this is that according to the 1910 federal census for Colwich City, Segwick County, Kansas, a John and Mary Blick lived next door to Nicholas and Anna Blick. According to this census, John Blick was born in Germany in roughly 1844 and Mary Blick was born in Germany in roughly 1848. They appear to fit the profile of your John and Mary Blick. According to the 1920 federal census for Colwich City, Segwick County, Kansas, Mary Blick and her daughter Barbara lived a couple of doors down from Nicholas and Anna Blick.

My Blicks are from Va. as far as i know. My grandfather wasJoseph Blick,he was married to Julia M.Deans.I believe they had 3 children;Irving Wilber,Ernest E. and Gladys. Julia was also married to a McHarg,first or second husband we don't know. If anyone has come across these names will you please let me know or guide me to possible information.

Dick Blick married my father's sister, Grace Atherton on Jan 1 1914 in Fulton Co., IL. There were no children. She was born Nov 10, 1888 Fulton Co, IL, died Mar 1980 Galesburg, IL 61401, where they lived most of their lives. He prob. born about 1883-1886 and died before his wife. His office supply business was sold in the late 40's and became Dick Blick Art Supplies, Iowa City. The above was his motto before he sold it. Can anyone help me find more information?

I have a little more information on this line. Charles Maxie Edwards b. Sept 25, 1894 d. Aug 5, 1918. He is buried in a small graveyard in Ebony, Brunswick, Co., VA.

Any informatioin or clues on Emma Eatrice Blick or her father Newton Jasper Blick would be greatly appreciated. Is there anyone out there researching this line???

I have been given the marriage license of Newton J. Blick and Emma E. Pruett. They were married on October 24, 1894 in Greensville County, VA.

From this I have learned that Newton was born in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, to Armstrong N. and A. E. Blick. Emma was born in Halifax county to Nactranl(?) and Laurin L. Pruett.

OK here goes, the facts.

Thomas Blick married Hannah Gray 8 July 1822 in minchinhampton Gloucester England.

He was the son of David Blick and Ann Critchley

He travelled to New Zealand along with his sister Ann and her husband on the ship "Indus" arriving in Neslson New Zealand.

This is my family line. Should anyone wish to know about this oranything else on the Blick's from Gloucester, I am you man and please do not hessitat to contact me.
