The Isaac Bline in my lineage might not be the same as the one you have. The dates I have for him are 1820-1880. He was the son of Peter Blind and Hannah Swartz. His son, William Albert Bline was the father of my great-grandfather Charles Bline. My grandfather's name is Forrest Bline. Are any of these matching up to what either of you have?

Bline Civil War Unit

I came across a pension application online once for a Francis Bline and have been uable to find any more information. The Indiana state archives have no record of this. It reads Francis Bline Harrison's Cavalry "Wild Hoosiers" and what could be an E or G or 6. There is no listing for him or the unit in the state records for the war. Could this be a militia unit? Any help appreciated.

I'm specifically looking to find out if anyone has information about Francis Marion Bline's mother. Francis' death record gives his father's name as Isaac Bline and his mother's name as Rachael Stone.

However... The Shenandoah Co. 1772-1850 marriage book says Isaac Blind married Mrs. Nancy Stover (also seen as Stoner). Isaac was also married to a woman named Elizabeth in 1860, according to the IN census.

Has anyone heard of Rachael Stone? Or is this name just incorrect?

Thanks!
keljeanne@aol.com
