A Mrs. Bliss of Columbus, Ohio (1979), reported that she married into the Bliss family in 1930 and that her husband's father was John A. Bliss, who was at that time, a resident of Columbus, Ohio, but had previously resided at Canton, Stark County, Ohio. The following Bliss famliy resided in Stark County in 1900:
John A. Bliss born July 1857 in Ohio, his wife Champie S. Bliss born Nov. 1861 in Ohio, a daughter, Myrl G. Bliss born August 1886 in Ohio, a son Harry Bliss born Sept 1887 in Ohio, a daughter Helen Bliss born August 1889 in Ohio, a son James Bliss born Nov 1891 in Ohio, a daughter Ruth Bliss born Nov 1893 in Ohio, and a son John A. Bliss born May 1896 in Ohio
