Dr. James Garfield Bliss, born 25 Nov 1891 in Ohio
I'm looking for information on Dr. James Garfield Bliss, born 25 Nov 1891 in Ohio. I believe that he was a child of John A. and Champie Bliss who lived in Stark Co., Ohio in 1900. The man I'm interested in had an A.B. from Ohio State, an A.M. from Columbia, and a PhD from New York University and was associated with the Kingswood Camp for Boys in Bridgeton, Maine, as camp director. During WWI he was a Captain (Infantry) and served with the American Expeditionary Forces, being discharged 13 June 1919. In 1930 he and wife May and children Thomas, 8, and Joan, 7, lived in West Chester, Chester Co., PA.
