I have tried this message board before with no luck, But I'm going to try this again. The information I seek is in reference to any surviving relatives or information about my Grandfather. My grandfather left home at a very early age, (17 or 18), and headed south. He met my grandmother in Georgia when she was around the age of 13. They married at some point after they met. They had somewhere around 13 children, But not all of them lived due to poor health conditions for the 1800-1900's time period. Their children's names were William Pierce, John Henry, Violet, Coleman, Beulah Mae, William Harris, Daniel Edwin (Buck). I found out through examination of my grandfather's death records his parents names were Pierce and Mary Blizzard. I'm not sure if my Great Grandfather's name was his middle name or not. Mary Blizzard's maiden name isn't known at this time. The death records indicated his parents were in Wilmington, North Carolina (New Hanover County) at the time of his birth. I was told by one of my aunts that his descendents might be located in Kingsboro. I realize that most of my grandfathers immediate relatives might be deceased by now. I would like to hope that someone out there might know one of my relatives. I have NEVER in my life known any of my Dad's relatives other than the relatives of my Dad's immediate family. I would like to meet these people one day. My grandfather was from all accounts an extremely private person and wouldn't tell no one anything about his life. My Dad told me he ran away from home in his teens because he didn't want to have anything to do with his family. I have also heard that he might have been suspect in a suspicious murder involving the church his family when to. If anyone out there can bring some clarity to this puzzle that I have spent a good portion of my life trying to solve, I would greatly appreciate it and you would have my undying thanks.
