Re: Block
I do not know if there is any connections with my Grandfather or not but here goes
My Grandfather Emil Block married Lois Ecklor .
Grandfathers family came from Germany , There were 13 boys that made the trip to the United States on the ship .I do not know any information on him except his father was Gustave Block I do not know at this time who Emils mother was .
Many of the Blocks of my family came from Germany and settled in mcKinnley Wisconsin . They were all mostly loggers turned farmers . . I did tie the mddle name up with one of my mothers brothers ( his middle name was Gustave ) My mother Myrtle Mae Block married George Alonzo Warner . they were also from McKinnley and the Jump River Wisconsin ( where I was born ) . They ( many of them ) moved to Minnesota where many still live . My grandfather never turned up on the census of Wisconsin untill he was 20 years old .
Have you ties up any of your Blocks up to Wisconsin
