I am searching for a picture of my gg grandfather Cyrus Blodgett. Anyone out there that might have a picture to share for posting on my tree, I would be so grateful. His obituary follows.
GREEN SPRINGS RESIDENT
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Young funeral home in Green Springs for Cyrus Blodgett, 81, retired farmer, who passed away at his home there Wednesday afternoon after a long illness. Burial was made in Pleasant Union Cemetery. Mr. Blodgett was born in Findlay, August 30, 1852, and when a young man moved to Old Fort. He was married to Sarah Parker in 1872. He had farmed in Sandusky county for many years, and had retired 22 years ago. The Blodgetts were parents of 11 children, five of whom survive. Mrs. Blodgett passed away several years ago. The surviving children are Mrs. William McClory of Green Springs, Mrs. Albert Henretty of Old Fort, Mrs. Robert Zephernick of Bellevue, Mrs. John Renninger of Tiffin, and Floyd Blodgett of California. A brother, Reuben Blodgett of Findlay, also survives, along with 35 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren." Clyde Enterprise
