Am researching my husbands family, Blond, from Odessa area. Frank Isodore Blond, married Goldie Friedman(mothers name of Ethel Silver). Immigrated to Canada around 1903, settled in Pennsylvania- eventually moved to Calif. Have been told that Frank's mother's family may be Aronovich. Could be from Romania.
Would appreciate any information regarding Blonds, Friedmans, Aronovichs.

Hello Leon! This is your cousin, Pam, from England. I lost my address book years ago, and would be thrilled to hear from you. I reverted to my maiden name after divorce. Zoe's married name was LEER, but this was later in life. I have a solicitor's letter after her demise re her Estate dated 18th March, 1930. It refers to her restaurant, Le Chat Noir, 25a Holland Street, Kensington, which sold for £360, and was left equally between your father and mine. Would love an email from you, if you're still checking. Love and Blessings, Pam

Her father's family originated in Pszasnysz, and he was one of six brothers and one sister.
So far I only found a single Blondowski directly related to that family, and he lives in Canada,he is my gradfather's nephew.
If any of the above sounds even a bit familiar, pleaserespond to this email.
Sincerely, Anne

Rosa Blond m. Arthur Summers, CA

My great-great grandmother was Rosa Blonde of Santa Clara County. She married a Mr. Arthur(?) Summers in the late 1800's. On Jan. 5, 1894, her daughter, Mary Summers was born. She married a Mr. Benjamin Correa in the early 1900s· On February 5, 1912 at 4:40 PM, Mary Summers Correa, age 18, gives birth to Alfred Joseph Correa in the city of Sacramento. Her husband, Benjamin Correa, 28, of Mexican descent is noted on Alfred's birth certificate as born in California, as was Mary. At the time, they lived on "J Streetroad" near Mt. Clair Avenue. · Benjamin and Mary Correa's marriage dissolves (reason unknown) sometime before 1918. · John Bell marries Mary Summers sometime before 1918. She has a son, Alfred, from her previous marriage.
· In Sacramento County, on April 28, 1918, Mary gives birth to, John Wright Bell ("Jack"). In Alameda County (probably in their new home town of Hayward), twin brothers, Richard J. Bell and George Edwin Bell are born on December 29, 1920. On California Death Records, George E. Bell's mother's maiden name (Mary) is listed as "Correa". But on Richard J. Bell's Death record, his mother's maiden name is listed as "Summers". · Sometime between John Jr.'s birth and his twin brothers' birth in December, 1920, John Sr. and Mary buy a house with an apricot orchard at 1241 "A" street in Hayward, California. It was a single-story bungalow with a large fig tree in the front yard. During Prohibition, John Bell, Sr. distilled apricot brandy which he clandestinely sold to local police officers. · Around 1926-27, when John II is eight years old, and George and Richard are six, Mary dies. His father never remarries.

No, no polish in us. Blond is an Austrian name. I live in Manhattan, New York, but the Blonds on my side we don't know too much about, except they came to the United States throuigh Syracuse, New York and emmigrated to Chicago, IL. We do have some family in France, though. My uncle, cousins are in Montpelier, and I think there may be some in the Paris area.

Hey Blonds, My name is Jeremiah Blond, and through a series of marriages and deaths, I am the last of my name as far as I know. My name actually comes from a Polish name Blondowski. My great-grandfather immigrated here in about 1900 or so and had a son named Ted. Ted had a son and also named him Ted, my father. Ted had a daughter, Alison, and two sons, Matthew and Jeremiah (me). If this sounds like it could be remotely close to your Blond heritage let me know.

There is a Margaret Longstaff in my family history about whom I have been able to learn little, if anything. I know that she was born sometime between 1879 and 1882, in England, but no more than that. Is it possible that she was the wife of William J. Blond? I believe that Margaret's brother, Thomas Richmond Willis Longstaff, migrated to Australia. Five of her siblings came to the United States. Two remained in England. I would be happy to hear from you if you think that this is a connection.
